Does anyone know what the pixels hold to be for a desktop wallpaper on a 19inch monitor? resembling 1200x1500 etc.?

I'm trying to find a Final Fantasy 8 desktop wallpaper that works. please minister to.

1200x1500 sounds so tiny. I have mine set at 1024x768 on a 17 monitor and consequently the icons knock down to a size 25. Anything above 1024x768 makes your icon smaller still to the point of no-see-um.
