The technology have been released and is already available. The Asus W5fe Sideshow incorporates the technology into the laptop. More laptop manufacturer should also begin releasing this technology.

These external displays are supported by Windows Vista's "Sideshow" technology. As Vista is just becoming available at retail preinstalled on systems, laptop's sporting these external displays should initiate appearing now, or at tiniest very soon. All of the through ODM manufacturers own Sideshow compatible models in their product line-up, so it should begin to be a adjectives feature as the Vista rollout progresses forward.
