Does a CRT monitor retain any personal information?

I want to put up for sale an old CRT monitor and I'm wondering whether it's totally safe and sound to sell it to a stranger. I don't want any personal info that I view on the monitor to be seen by anyone else who uses it following.

Does it retain any info via its electromagnetic radiation or via some other way?

Thanks.

Answer:

Ummm. Your pretty out of danger on the sell big guy! Sell it. lol
No, it doesn't store any information. All your CRT does is display. The only information it save is your monitor settings such as the brightness and such. Your PC or the website you are sending that information to would be the one that saved that stuff.
No worries! It's simply a monitor, there's no memory involved.
