Do monochrome monitors motive smaller number eye strain after color monitors?

I own headaches when using both crt and lcd monitors, and i've read some older posts from the early 90's that some society say that monochrome monitors are better for the eyes because they simply have 1 color per pixel whereas the eye have trouble with color monitors since respectively pixel shares colors and therefor it's difficult to focus. Is this true?

Answer:

It probably is, but how much fun would that be? Everything would be black and white... BORING.
This pixel concept is nothing investigational. Even the printed pictures in the magazine consist of many dots -- respectively one having a different collor. Discreteness is everywhere within nature.
