i hold a dell 1905fp colour monitor (at least thats what i deduce it is) and it has four usb ports on the support and side. how do i connect this to the computer so that the ports work? i have a usb extension cable i found and a driver cd for the moniter which have the html user documentation, and the drivers (INF, ICM and CAT). do i need to use this cd? it doesnt look as if its be opened formerly.

If your operating system is Windows XP, after the drivers disk is not needed (but recommend you use it anyway). All you obligation to do is plug one end of the usb cable into the monitor and the other into a usb port on the PC. The ends will fluctuate, the one that plugs into the monitor is almost square in shape, while the ending you plug into your PC is flat in shape.
you should not call for a cable to connect it sould get power from the video cable. presently drivers might be a different story
