dell monitor problem, amber oil lamp but black blind, does anyone enjoy a solution to receive this monitor running?
Answer:
Amber hurricane lantern is the stand-by light, consequence monitor is on and plugged in, but not reception a signal. Make sure it's connected properly to the computer, and make sure the computer is turned on.
If the display is delivery a signal properly, that amber light will turn green.
Your graphics card might of when out. Try unplugging your monitor after putting the cord back within. Then hard reset your system by holding within the power button.
Could also be that the hard drive or slave drive go out. A black monitor with amber god is really the symptom of a few different problems. Checking all your cords will be a start.
Well i would prefer if u contact the Dell Company nearest to u and they'll notify u what to do. the answer will be the same every time '' bring it to us and we will fix ur problem''.
The monitor is not getting a signal. It is mostlikely the monitor cable, or the controller board inside of the monitor. If your harddrive go out you would still see the post screen and everything. Sometimes video cards do progress out, but even then it is still sending the ground signal which will temporally brand name the light turn green when you turn the system on.
If you hold another computer or even laptop plug the monitor into it. Or try another monitor on your system just to diminish down the problem.
