How do you degauss a Compaq FS7600 computer monitor?

Answer:

http://www.google.com/search?q=degaussin...
you should hold a function button on your monitor that you can press and find the degauss option, once found a short time ago press degauss
The automatic degausser circuit activates respectively time you turn the monitor on, so, unplug or turn off beside the power switch, then, turn it final on. the screen should 'shake', possibly near a small thud sound.

If not, it is shot. time to buy exotic. Only $149 Retail, new.

But, LCD Viewsonic 20.1" is single $198 at Costco, this month.

and it has better specs.
Press the menu button on the monitor and use the four cursor buttons to select what you require. If you don't use the menu for a while it will disappear. Good luck!
bring a piece of magnet on the final of screen .
most monitors hold a degaussing feature ... within should be either a button on the front that allows you to access the monitor's hardware menu ... the degaussing setting should be within there ... but for, see if there is a button on the hindmost that is evident degausse ... when all else fail, read the manual. to minimise the necessitate to degausse as often, hold any external speakers at least a foot away from the eyeshade (they have powerful magnets within them)
turn power off/on.

Or select the option from the monitor buttons menus.
